Dan Murphy's Guide to Better Candlepin Bowling

Candlepin Bowling unique to New England and parts of Eastern Canada was  invented in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1880.  Candlepins use a 4 1/2" ball which is rolled at tall thin bowling pins which taper at the ends resembling candles hence the name. Candlepins are far more challenging than other forms of bowling with a perfect game never having been achieved.  The high score to date is a 245, however the novice should be very happy with a 90 or 100 score. For more information on the game of Candlepins go to the International Candlepin Bowling Associations web site at www.candlepinbowling.com

Candlepin Bowling at its best, in a clean smoke free environment.  Come in with the family for public bowling, or check out our full schedule of leagues for all types of bowlers.
